Hello there o/
I’m Sami, but most people online know me as Fenrisfulsur. I’m a French security researcher at Quarkslab, where I spend my time digging into embedded systems, a bit of hardware hacking, and anything that involves program analysis. I really enjoy figuring out how things work under the hood and building tools to make that process faster.
Outside of work, I’m part of the Jeanne d’Hack CTF organization team. We run a Capture The Flag event every year in Rouen, Normandy, bringing together hackers, students, and security enthusiasts. If you’re curious, you can check it out here.
Below are some of the talks, tools, and blog posts I’ve worked on.
Talks
RE//verse 2026 (EN) / Hash All The Things / Get All The Sig(s): Exploring automated approaches to identifying and classifying functions through signature extraction and hashing techniques.
Journée sécurité C-DAY CLUSIR Normandie 2025 (FR) / IoT Hacking 101: An introductory session on IoT vulnerabilities covering firmware extraction, hardware analysis and common security pitfalls in connected devices.
Ekoparty 2023 (EN) / Breaking Secure Boot on the Silicon Labs Gecko platform: Uncovering a flaw in Silicon Labs Gecko SDK that allows persistent code execution by bypassing Secure Boot and firmware signature checks.
Tools
- SightHouse: A tool designed to assist reverse engineers by retrieving information and metadata from programs and identifying similar functions.
Articles
Quarkslab (EN) / Leveraging Sourcetrail to a mapping tool, meet Numbat and Pyrrha: Describes how to extend Sourcetrail into a custom mapping system using Numbat and Pyrrha for dependency visualization and program analysis.
Quarkslab (EN) / Breaking Secure Boot on the Silicon Labs Gecko platform: A deep technical breakdown of how we identified and exploited a vulnerability in Gecko’s secure OTA mechanism.
